5.1 earthquake hits 16 miles west-northwest of Ludlow (near Barstow) and 117 miles east of downtown Los Angeles in the Mojave desert. Quake felt in in West LA, Studio City, Anaheim and Fountain Valley. No injuries or major damage reported.
