California Passed a Budget. Now What?

brokeIt only took 3 1/2 months, a delay in tax refund checks, threats to layoff 20,000 state workers, and a coup in the state Republican party, but after days of nonsense, the California Legislature finally passed a budget which might help close the $41 billion deficit.  Yeah, we’re gonna some more in taxes, but so what — we’re all broke anyway.  Is it really going to matter at this point?  At least we don’t have to pay the 12 cent a gallon gas tax.
