Ya gotta hand it to thejournalist Max Taves and the L.A. Weekly for going where the L.A. Times either fears or can no longer afford to tread — tearing the lid off of the Los Angeles Schools Police.
Those who work in the criminal justice system or in the schools have long been aware of the horror show that is the Los Angeles Unified School District Police force.
High-Five to Max Taves and the L.A. Weekly for some excellent work. Here’s the article. It is well worth a read: LAUSD’S FINEST

I am currently facing corruption and numerous abuses in the LA County juvenille court where the referee Pam Matsumoto makes up the law from the bench stating as her reason for granting on her own motion a continuance for a police officer who failed to appear for trial in my son’s case that, “The people have a right to a speedy trial which they were waving and she was granting the officer a contuinuance” even though the excuse for the oifficer not showing up was that he was “unavailable” she then went on to say that if my son failed to show up for the continuance that she would “issue a bench warrant for HIS ARREST” This hypocritcal doulbe standard is outrageous. I filed a motion for dismissal with the head referee Jack Faree on the 19th of March, nearly a month later he still hasn’t ruled on the matter even though he assured us that he would do so. My bet is he won’t rule on it and force us into a sham trial. We already know what the outcome will be. I am looking for any suggestions and who can blow the whistle on this corruption.
