Realizing that a tuberculosis outbreak is a much bigger threat to public safety than the early release of a guy caught with a few pounds of weed in his trunk, a federal court ordered the release of tens of thousands of California inmates.

Watching Governor Schwarzenegger’s State of the State address was like watching the father-of-the-bride give a wedding toast when he and everyone else in the room knows the marriage is doomed.
